Big updates and good news from Local Learning

A season of change and opportunities

These past 20 months have created many posts, newsletters, and updates from all sectors of life that are reflecting upon the disruptions and change evident all around us. My note from Local Learning follows this genre of narrative, but I’m truly EXCITED by the updates you will read below. And while the changes and opportunities I’m sharing are of the moment, I am proud to trace how the years of strategic and foundational planning, thinking, and careful growth by our Board and Network Volunteers have allowed us to be prepared for this moment.

Speaking of our Board of Directors, we have reached a milestone moment. In 2017 we instituted term limits and created a succession plan for the founding Local Learning Board that sustained institutional knowledge while fostering new expertise and perspectives. At our most recent board meeting, we celebrated the conclusion of that three-year process, fêting the accomplishments of our outgoing directors. Anne Pryor attended her final board meeting in September as Past Chair, and Betty Belanus completed her final term as a Director. We are grateful for all they brought to supporting the mission of Local Learning.
